AEProcessor AE Analysis Software
We (in collaboration with Mostafa Razavi) have developed a beta version of a software to perform AE modal AE analysis. The software emanates from experience gained in testing fiber-reinforced ceramic and polymer composite coupons, sub-components and structures. It has the capability to determine properties of an event (time of arrival, energy, peak frequency, frequency centroid, speed of sound, location, etc...). A key feature built into the software are a number of filtering approaches and time of arrival analyses in order to optimize first peak time of arrival (TOA) determination. Accurate TOA for each sensor is essential to determine accurate source location. It also has a powerful sorting (mark events) approach to remove unwanted AE data by AE property criteria. All data is exportable in csv format. The example below is from a standard tensile test on a ceramic matrix composite dogbone tensile specimen. Note that most of the AE occurs outside the gage section of interest.
